How To Download Instagram Lives and Reels to your Desktop
I recorded an Instagram Live the other day in celebration of a woman-owned business called Stick With Me Sweets in New York City’s SoHo District. I wanted to save it to my YouTube channel, and it just wouldn’t save.
I did a Google search, and found the best app ever, and it strips the branding from the video too, so it’s clean and concise, and you can include your own messaging and branding.

Step 1: Go to https://snapinsta.app/instagram-reels-video-download#google_vignette
Step 2. Go to the actual post you created for the reel.
Step 3. Copy the link to the actual post
Step 4. Paste the link in the box as shown below.
Step 5. Hit the green “download” button
Step 6. Decide where you want to save the video.
Step 7. Go to the download area. Boom! There is your video!
Step 8. Import the video to iMovie or a video editor of your choice to edit, add titling, music, and end credits.
